As soon as the schedule came out, we knew that there was no time to sit back and relax following our long run into the Finals of the Spring Terrill Cup. After knocking the British Tigers out of the Cup in a highly competitive Quarterfinal match-up this summer, we were sure to be targets for revenge as we met the defending league champs again just two months later in our 1st Division season opener.

Barra Brava FC is proud to announce that the 2nd Annual Supporters' Charity Shield matches will be played at the Auxiliary Field of RFK Stadium (Lot 7) on Saturday, August 21st. The doubleheader friendly will feature the women's team of Barra Brava FC hosting the women of Screaming Eagles FC 12 noon followed by the men of Barra Brava FC Premier and Screaming Eagles FC taking the field at 2:00 p.m. This event is an all-for-charity fundraiser where 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be split between "United for DC" and the "Wounded Warrior Project."

It's been a good Cup run. No one but us expected us to do what we've done, but none of that matters or makes us feel any better. I guess a good way to say it is that every player on BBFC Premier feels proud but unsatisfied.
