Thank you for your interest in La Barra Brava, D.C. United’s first and most passionate supporters club founded in 1996. Whether you are willing to beat drums, jump, wave flags and chant for an entire game or you’re just willing to support those who do… Barra Brava is the way to truly experience live soccer at RFK. Many of our hardcore members stand together in sections 135, 136, 137, 138, 233, 234 and 235 known as the bouncing masses at RFK. Though our most hardcore fans reside in section 135, 136 and 137 many of our other members sit in every corner of the stadium. Our membership comes from nearly every corner of the world and we’ve been enjoying the evolution American of soccer support since 1996. 

Over the span of our existence we’ve grown by leaps and bounds.  Traditionally ALL sections in the Barra Brava are for the hardcore supporter. As a Barra Brava member you are expected to sing, jump and shout for 90 minutes. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you bring guests they are also expected to follow this rule. It’s what sets us apart from all the other supporter groups in the country. The 100 sections are definitely not for the faint of heart. They are standing room only and remember that the primary mission of La Barra Brava is to be present at every game cheering and supporting D.C. United.
